Underground Storage Tanks
Underground storage tanks (USTs) are popular when space is limited above ground or the tank needs to be hidden.
- Uses include potable water, wastewater, fire protection, stormwater, petroleum products, chemical storage, and other waste.
- Tanks are most commonly constructed of concrete, plastic, or fiberglass. Concrete USTs may be poured-in-place or the design may utilize pre-fabricated walls. Sizes can easily reach a million gallons of capacity. Plastic and fiberglass USTs are commonly round, oval, square, or oblong and generally available up to 50,000 gallons.
